Qualcomm-Verizon Brew cooperation may benefit Taiwan handset and module makers

Cooperation between Qualcomm and Verizon Wireless to promote the Open Brew platform and form a joint venture to promote M2M services may bring in more contract business for Taiwan-based handset and module makers, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
