ASUS Eee PC 900 BIOS 0704 underclocks from 900MHz to 630MHz

After updating the bios of eeepc 900 to 0704 downloaded from asus website, we noticed that the performance drops. Instead of the usual 900MHz (celeron M 900), it now clocks down to 630MHz.

We tried to run some intensive stuff behind the scenes and it seems that the FSB is stucked at 70MHz (with multiplier of 9x). All these happened when you are on Battery. If you select Max battery in power scheme, it drops further to 430MHz. Any other settings will end up with 630MHz even with full load.

If you plug in the AC Power, it will run the Eee Pc 900 at 900MHz.
