Samsung Electronics brings Purer Living to consumers with the unveiling of its latest range of digital home appliances today at the Samsung Digital Home Appliances Roadshow 2007. For 2007, Samsung intends to expand its market share with a comprehensive product lineup catering to the needs of consumers at every level. The company is targeting to raise regional sales by 22 per cent.

In addition, the company will bring its purer living vision to life by exciting consumers with its range of products which combines the benefits of the Silver Nano Health System with innovative technologies like Air Wash, Quatro Cooling, and Micro Plasma Ion. Since its introduction in 2004, Samsung’s proprietary Silver Nano Health System has been certified by testing institutes worldwide, including the British Allergy Foundation and the SLG Pruef-und Zertifizierungs GmbH in Germany, to have anti bacteria and bacteria killing effects.

Samsung’s full suite of digital home appliances incorporating these technologies and more include:

REFRIGERATOR

(RM25) A refrigerator incorporating the world’s first Quatro Cooling system with four individual compartments controlled and cooled independently, guaranteeing freshness of food and preventing mixing of odours. The Quatro Cooling refrigerator RM25 was introduced in Singapore at the end of 2006.

(RT41/45) The Coolever Zone keeps food fresher for longer by eliminating gaps existing in conventional crispers to prevent direct contact with cooling air. Able to maintain higher humidity levels, this refrigerator has been introduced in Singapore in late 2006.

WASHING MACHINE

(WD6102) Samsung’s top range washing machine features the world’s first Air Wash system that removes unpleasant smells, microscopic allergens and harmful bacteria by means of powerful hot air. The Air Wash Front Load is now locally available.

(WA85/95/11/12) Equipped with a double storm function that reduces tangle and improves washing performance with multi-dimensional water currents, the washer’s mist shower function saves water by up to 20 per cent while its air turbo drying system enables faster drying. This top load washing machine will be introduced in Singapore in the 2nd quarter of 2007.

AIR CONDITIONER

(AS 09/10/18/24VBA) Samsung’s proprietary Micro Plasma Ion (MPI) technology eliminates SARS-associated corona virus and also influenza virus which has the same genetic structure as the avian influenza virus. Its Good’sleep mode maintains an optimum surrounding for the most comfortable sleep. Samsung’s top range air conditioner will be introduced in Singapore at a later date in 2007.

(AS 10/12/18/24FA) Equipped with multi air purifying system which includes silver-coated evaporator and filter, anti-allergy filter, deodorizing filter, Catechin filter and anti-bacterial cross fan which can eliminate various harmful elements and dust particles, this air conditioner will be introduced in Singapore in March / April 2007.
