Gigabyte GA-965p-ds3 ??

Hi, I have the ga-965p-ds3 MB, I was wondering which Sata port should I use?
I have 250 3.0gbs sata drive, should I use the Gigabyte sata port of the Intel ICH8 sata port? Is one better then the other?

Should be similar. You can use SATA1

I would use the Intel SATA port # 1
I think you have to install the Intel Matrix Storage driver to enable SATA 2 mode though.

How is your board. o/c to?

Make sure you use the ICH8 SATA ports... they are more reliable and fast.
You will NOT have to install any driver as the chipset is an ICH8 that DOES support SATA2 but not AHCI (supported only by ICH8R).
GA-965P-DS3 is a great motherboard!
