Just got an ECS K7S5A 3.x board. I am wondering what software I can use to monitor my CPU temperature.
Also, everything seems to be running fine, I didn't flash the bios or install any special drivers. I have windows XP Pro. What else, if anything should I download/install to make this board work to the best of it's abilities?

if you have any questions about using it, post another thread in here with your questions. I will get back to you. Sis950/ITE8705F-3 is your CPU temp and Sis950/ITE8705F-2 is your case. There is no temp diode for the Northbridge.

alright great.. that's working fine for me.
Is there any drivers/software or anything else I should do with this? I just install the MB and did a fresh install of XP.. didn't touch anything else.. I have the following:
ECS k7s5a
AMD 800 Tbird
SB Live Value
256mb PC133 Ram
IBM Deskstar ata100 75gxp hdd
Windows XP Pro
Thanks, the support on this forum is great!

Hehe, that looks a lot like my computer last year. I got a couple new things for it, the one thing I kept was this mobo. Speedfan is another good program. It does a lot of things including changing your FSB and Memory speeds while in windows. Here is the site: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
Good luck, and have fun. :D

and another thing I just noticed. Get some DDR RAM. It really improves your performance. I used PC133 for a week last year, then I had to try some DDR. Let's just say I wish my other 1GHz+ computers all had DDR.
