I just downloaded new bios for my Chaintech 7VJL.
I am learning that my product needs a flash utility. Can anyone tell which award flash utility I need and where to download it? Chaintech makes very little mention of it in the manual and next to none on their website. Any information is appreciated in advance.

My specs:
CT-7VJL Motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
Maxtor 120, 40 and 30 GB drives
512 mb pc 2100 Ram
GeForce 3 AGP 4x 64 MB
Sound Blaster Audigy
Video Blaster Digital VCR
Lian Li PC 65 Silver Case
Windows XP Pro SP1a

Thanks for the reply. I found a copy of awardfalsh.exe almost immediately. One note, if my bios are already dated 9.20.02 when I purchased this motherboard, is the fix for Athlon 2700+ included? Should I just sit on it till I purchase a new processor? Also, since it isnt very clear in the manual or on the website, how far up in processors will the 7vjl support without having the motherboard modded by Chaintech? Thanks again for your response.

the best advice i can give you is:

"if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

i won't flash my bios if i don't have problems with it... so hang it with your the bios version that you have... until you get your hands on a new processor which will require a new bios upgrade... if ever that is the case.

I agree with Redtooth. Number one - if you have the 9/20 BIOS that is the most current version. Number 2 if its running ok, don't mess with a good thing and run the risk of a non-operating board.
