Does the ide driver fix the cd-burning problem? I have not been able to use my burner since installing sis drivers. i believe the default win xp drivers worked (can't be sure, since it's been a while since i've had to back anything up). Now my burner is just an expensive cdrom!

If the sis drivers aren't fixed, then what is the safest way to revert to the default xp ide drivers? The rollback function doesn't work, and the last time i screwed with the drivers, my system wouldn't boot properly.

Thanks.

use the rollback... 1.09m doesn't fix the cdrw scsi problem. Don't try it unless you're confident of what you're doing.

Unfortunately, XP says there is nothing to roll back to. I think I can do it manually thru the device manager (have disk), where it seems to remember what the old driver was, but I want to be sure of the name.

Is it 'Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller'?

Is the SiS AGP controller the same as the PCI IDE controller mentioned above?

Maybe someone could go over this procedure in detail for installing the new 1.09m ........?
Do I uninstall/reinstall my ATI Radeon card or just somehow drivers for the chipset controller?
