im afraid you've gotta be more specific than that other wise you wont get any help cos we wont know where to start!!

Have you tried benchmarking it with 3dmark2001?

Please list a full config and then maybe we will be able to help

Make sure that you have the latest 4in1 drivers installed.

Try different versions of the AGP driver. Sometimes an older one works better.

You can also try to install drviers in différent orders :
1 Video Card - 2 DX8
1 DX8 - 2 Video card
Under Xp, I've reinstall XP, launch XP install in XP, and choose 'upgrade' the gain was noticiable. I think than an old drivers was not good (there are so many drivers certified or uncertified thant d'ont work correctly)...

I've not see you were under W98.
In device manager, look if the VC is connected to a 'pci to pci bridge' or something '...agp'.
If it's pci to pci, the via4 in 1 are not installed correctly.
During Via drivers installation, choose 'turbo' instead of 'normal'.

Look in the bios if the video boot is on 'AGP', look if an IRQ is given to the VC. Try not to share it's IRQ.
Try different 'agp apperture size' normaly it doesn't hepl a lot.
Disable all video shadows and video bios shadow.
Flash the bios.
If all is OK and the speed is KO, reinstall the OS.

I had dx8.1 installed on the pc.The problems was really weird in Win98. On a map in Q3 inside the fps would go upto 250fps but step ouside on a map fps 40fps! Lets hope xp fixes it.

I have to say my Ecs board K7s5a has given me way less trouble!I have a geforce4 Mx440 + 256ddr and XP1600+ and my PC files like a super sonic jet compared to the XP on the XP1700+ and ASUS board! ECS equal bang for your buck!! Asus over prices, I'd rather use EPox than Asus.

I have put XP on and the pc hangs randomly, I have used a multimeter to measure the voltages on the PSU and they are at the right values. They don't even change 2% when the pc is put under load. I have changed the ram, and a New geforce4 card, still hanging please could some on give me some advice? Thanks
