Seems some Semprons 2800+ will be based on Thornton core (Barton with 1/2 cache disabled).

Apparently there'll be 3 different core versions of Sempron. The best one is the socket 754 version.

You do not need to flash this bios, if you are happy with 1.21 like I am as the board will report it as a XP since the socket A version is a throughbred B core.

I read that they did this because it's smaller than the barton core, and a little cooler running, so it saves them money on two counts.

I've just flashed the 2.50 for the K7S8X. Runs flawlessly as usual, no problems.

S3 (Suspend to RAM) is working just like in the 2.43 beta.

Still no memory timings, apart form CL.

A new performance bios based on the 2.50 would be nice :D (A big smile to the Asrock bios writers)
