Yesterday I bought an A7N8X Board, fixed it on the appropriate fixation on the backside of my compi, attached the CPU, attached the Cooler (a two-fan-model which can be attached without any force!), fixed the cables, fixed the back and just began to insert the cards, when it said CRASH and the CPU socket broke away from the mainboard on the border side, broke into pieces really. The board is useless now. Although I`m quite sure that I didn`t do anything wrong and it must be a weak processor-socket my trader refuses to change the board. Well, I dont need to say that this is not my first attempt to build-in a new mainboard at least three other boards using the same case, the same CPU and the same Cooler did not crash off. So I would like to know if any of you had similar experiences with sockets crushing by the power of the cooler after a few minutes, especially on ASUS based boards, of course?
