Unhappy

I have the K7S8XE revision 3.0 board and I'm using a built by ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. I have the Catalyst 3.10 drivers, but My open GL games cause my pc to freeze. Particularly Call of Duty. I think it even freezes in D3D. I set my AGP to 4X >_< and it reduces the freezes, but it doesn't eliminate them. HELP!!!!

P.S. using 1.21d beta bios

have you tried the older drivers? Also it could be power related too.

Smile

Could be 1 of 3 things:

1. Crap drivers (try older/newer ones)
2. Broken card (RMA)
3. Not enough power, what PSU are you using?

Also, if you have "performance" setting on in the BIOS, try turning it off.

I have tried various bios files. My power supply is an 350 watt Antec. I've tried 3.7 and 3.10
My RAM timings are on auto. I will have to look for that patch

Cool

just checked your first posting. do you run Windows XP without SP1?? Which version of Direct X do you use?

why did you have to RMA your 9500 PRO?

Your CPU runs at FSB 133, right? please set RAM in bios to 133 (DDR 266) too. other settings at auto.

What are your voltage readings for 3,3V, 5V and 12V?

Do you experience this problem with all OpenGL games or CoD only?

There are known issues with Call of Duty - it isn't related to the Asrock Board in any way
