Want to see how AM2 runs on the board with the board?
When the first K8Upgrade series of ASrock board was released, it claims to be upgradable to future CPU. We have seen K7->K8 and it works. What about the K8Upgrade series. Well, it would definitely for AM2 processor. The photo below show the AM2 running on AM2 CPU board sitting on top of the ASrock 939SLI32-eSATA2. Read this link for more details including a BIOS screen shot.

Super cool, BT! I can't wait to see the benchies with DDR-II 800.
Will there be a performance hit due to the bridge?

It actually runs. See the BIOS screen shot. In fact, the results were like .. hmm... for 3dmark... hmm... hahaha.

Bluetooth, have you got some informations about AM2 board dimensions ?
I am wondering about its compatibility with cases. :/

I'm not really sure what to expect. Clearly with DDRII-667 there is no benefit to using an AM2 vs. K8. But, 'if what they say is true' then DRRII-800 could be magical!
Also I read that OCZ has released DDRII-1000 at cas 4 (4-5-4). That might push through a couple more fps in BF2!
