8kda3+ shut down problems?

I have one question, it seems that every time I need the comp. to restart or shut down it will say it is shuting down but it will never shut down, unless I make it by pressing the power button? What would be the cuase of this?

Humn this is still giving me problems? It seems to work sometimes and very few and far between..

Humn.. I did have to do a repair to get the right xp key to work, so I could get teh MS updates. Would that affect the shutdown?
