1 memory stick in slot 1 or 2 and other in slot 3 would enable duel ddr from my understanding.
So thats why he put it there.
Not to fuzzed up with details of the nforce2 yet, but thats what I understand about the works.

Normally on nforce2 boards it's slot 1 and slot 3, IMO read the manual to be sure, but the Zenith for example is that way.

ks1... omg... 3106/2919... how!?!??! i'm running 10 x 200, cas2-5-2-2, but I ain't getting that high!! i'm only getting 3088/2900, and that's just when i boot up and run sandra2003 mem... argh - how come u get higher results... :( unfair!
newayz... my xp1800+ tbred-a is just like yours... i need 2.2v to run 2100mhz... but it locks up almost immediately... hits 60degrees in like a minute - i guess there IS a limit to the volcano 7+... but eh well... 2gigz is plenty...
