Well, it's taken long enough, but today Creative released a big 26 meg file patching all of their 5.1 cards. It's big because it includes absoluently everything, including drivers, programs and utilities.

It also improves performance and stability on Windows 2000 and XP operating systems.

If you own a 5.1, be it a lovely new one, or a 1024 player, go get from Creative Europe. Link is

Thanks for the great finding. I have just installed the drivers and tested them and looks like creative sure did their homework. They run like a charm on winxp pro. No more lockups, and they even included eax presets.

I got SB Live! Value is my sound card supported..

Oh is SB value support 5.1 or 4.1 only..

Im thingking If Im gonna download it. Last time I downloaded the 300MB compac SB driver which is BS! it just contain diff language and the english one is about 60MB!!! so I deleted it and zip the english one.
