Hi

I really could use some help , my problem started when i installed my brand new X800XL 256Mb Agp card.

After installing the Catalyst 5,5 driver it all went fine until i decided to go inside Bios, after that i have made my changes in bios and (saved and exit) so ´gives the system "black screen", just before the (WinXp-loggo)(the text"Windows Xp home E" with the blue stripe).
And the only way to get inside XP again is to reinsert my old 9800Pro-card , and after that i can put my X800XL back again.

So i can´t enter bios if i want the computer to work, does anyone here know what the problem might be ?
I would be very grateful for any kind of help that would solve this! .

What settings do you change in your BIOS?

Sounds like you are setting your Graphics aperture too high. Try setting it to 64Mb(I have an FX5900 Ultra 256Mb & have encountered a blank screen by setting it to 256Mb so I leave at default now) & see if that works.

If it doesn't you'd be better off listing your BIOS settings & go from there.

Hope this helps. :)
