Hi everybody, can someone tell me the NF7 can support AMD Sempron? cause thinking want to upgrade my CPU.

For it to be recognised correctly YES. Usu. it will also work if you don't flash in the new bios, it will just be UNKNOWN CPU TYPE

I don't think an official bios is out yet, suporting the sempron processors!
If it's not, i will probably come out soon!

But like Bluetooth said, youe system will post and boot, but at the post screen it will show up "unknown CPu type" like it happens on the Mobile chips!!

May be have wait for a while until the official bios release.
If I want to install 3 pcs 256MB ram, how does it perform, it's fast than 2 pcs or having problem after install?

Semprons 2800+ and below are simply renamed 256K cache, Thorougbred Core, Athlon XPs. The Sempron 2800+ (2.0ghz) is the old XP 2400+ with a FSB of 166mhz.

The Sempron 3100+ is a 256K cache Athlon 64, it uses a Socket 754 motherboard.

Hmm.. that's stupid.
On the abit website, they have released a new BIOS for most of the boards that supports new AMD Sempron CPUs... however, they have not released a BIOS for the NF7-S v2.0.

However, yes, the original NF7 (non S) can support Sempron officially now.

edit: The NF7/NF7-S rev 1.x boards support Sempron... the NF7/NF7-S Rev2.0 does NOT support Sempron

That's what Bios 26 did! Was add suport to sempron CPu's!
