with PC3200 RAM.
I have a Volcane 11+ Xaser heatsink/fan that I usually run around 3250 RPMs at bone stock settings. I have never overclocked anything before, and am just interested in some basic performance boosts that won't require any more cooling than what I have.
Will I need to unlock the CPU?
Thanks!

The mobo can unlock the CPU automatically.
I don't know what is the original FSB of your CPU 133/166,you may try the headroom of the CPU in the CPU ratio menu. There would be some variation of 166/200 with different multiplier combination . Test it with or without voltage increment. Since your CPU should have a high multiplier, your CPU would properly need to decrease the multiplier to archieve a higher speed.
However, the first think I am worrying about is that can your motherboard working stable or even boot into Windows even without OCing. Wish you good luck.

Abit KV7 MOBO, KT600
1x 512MB Generic PC3200 400mhz RAM
T-bred XP2400+ 266 FSB
Nvidia 5200FX
WD 200JB caviar, 7200, 8ms, 8mb buffer
6x80 mm case fans
Thermalake Volcano 11+ Xaser, full copper heatsink
Thanks!
The board is very stable at standard settings. Haven't had a single reboot or crash. I am very happy with this board! It boots extremely fast!

I think your CPU is not good for OC in general.
Its multiplier is already 14 and the speed should be 1.8XXGhz which is almost the same of Barton 2500+. If I were you, I would try to OC it around 2.0Ghz or Maximum 2.1Ghz of using 12X166/12.5X166 13X166 or 9.5X20/10X200/10.5/200.
I just know that the best one in the market is the recently released 1800+. Although your CPU has a high PR rate already but the head room of OCing it is not much. Just hope your heatsink can help.
And despite of it, you are stil running it in 133mhz. My friend is having trouble when running the CPU at 200mhz. You must test it ASAP to clarify the potential of this motherboard.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot when I get home tonight. I have the multiplier bumped to 16x and it runs fine. Any further than that, and it doesn't boot. Haven't messed with the core voltage, yet.
