Unhappy

I have an at7 max 2, with an xp 1900, raiden 9000pro and 1024meg of ddr333, it sits in a full tower, and has 2x80mm fans 1xpci fan and 1 drive bay fan (nothing is overclocked).

Sounds like a light aircraft taking off and still overheats, when playing splintercell and someother games.

The motherboard is the cullprit, the bios and winbond confirm it. When it hits 60c it alarms and then crashes at 63-65c.

I have added all the fans I can without taking a tin opener to the case, I ave also orderd round ide cables as a last resort.

Can anyone help me as this is driving me mad I can only play some games for half an hour for fear of cooking my system.

I am now sulking in a corner awaiting salvation pls some one take pity or put me out of my misery

First a big thanks for your time, cpu temp never exedes 68-70c this is under full load.

The thing is its only overheating when playing games like splintercell and c&c genrals, and I dont understand why.

The System temp is only a few degrees behind the cpu temp when at idle the cpu reads 57c and the system reads 56c, somthings not right.

Any suggestions?

Leave your case open and see if this helps. If it does, you need a better case ventilation.

My max2 never gets higher than 43 C for cpu and 50 C for system temp with a 2200 333mhz. Have you checked your chipset fan is not fouled. What cpu fan are you using? Where do you keep your tower? is it under your desk?
