Ok, i Have two ECS K7VZA REV 3.0 boards.

WIth the first one, when i cut the computer on there are no beeps or anything and there is no video output. I have tried 3 different video cards and ram and still no video output and no beeps. The ram is set at clock 133, if i change the clock to 100 then the computer beeps 4 times and cuts off

With the Second one when i cut the computer on there is 4 fast beeps then it cuts off. I have tried different ram and video cards and made sure that they were securely in place.

Are you using some cheap PSU that is not certified ? What RAM are you using?

I called ECS and figured out the problem. turns out that the processor fan has to be plugged up to the connector closet to the processor or else you will get the beeps

I'm glad I got lucky and plugged the Alpha Pal8045 4 pin connector in the right psu connector. That sounds odd, even a bit bizarre. I thought the connectors out of the psu were all created equal, they just provided the same power rating to whatever peripheral you were connecting them to and it didn't matter what got connected to which one.

It is just a safety precaution to try and eliminate people powering up the PC with no fan hooked up for the CPU, my Abit board has that feature but it can be turned off in the bios.
