BGR on Thursday published exclusive details on the Galaxy Nexus
, which is expected to be unveiled during a joint Google/Samsung press event in San Diego
next Tuesday. According to a rumor from Droid-Life
, which obtained leaked release dates for a number of phones, the Galaxy Nexus might be available on store shelves as soon as October 27th. BGR learned that the Galaxy Nexus will be a Verizon Wireless exclusive in the U.S. and will run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is equipped with a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a 1280 x 760-pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video, a 1.3-megapixel camera for video chat and a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor. A recent teaser video
also suggested it will be thin (9mm to be exact) and will offer a concave display, much like the Nexus S did. BGR will be reporting live from the Google/Samsung event, where we hope to spend some hands-on time with the device. Stay tuned for more.
