Acer appoints new head of Pan American operations

Acer has announced that it has appointed Emmanuel Fromont, currently vice president of the EMEA Packard Bell Division, to serve as its new president of Acer Pan America operations. Fromont is to succeed incumbent Rudi Schmidleithner, who has decided to step down for personal reasons. The new appointment takes effect on January 1, 2011.
