Default Intel G33 uses GMAX3100 graphics

Intel G33, the replacement of G965 for the upcoming processor uses GMA X3100 graphics .

The GMA X3100 was first mentioned on the 965GM chipset and it seems that the same technology used on the Santa Rosa is being used on desktop integrated chipsets.

As observed in our Santa Rosa (Centrino Duo) coverage, GMA X3100 is supposed to increase 3 folds in HQV test. Will the desktop edition be able to achieve the same result?

Initial tests show that the performance of the G33 is lower than that of the G965. This could be due to driver issues which needs to be sorted out.
