Xbitlabs have a review up on the new Sempron 3100 based on 90 Nano Revision E Core. Still 32 Bit sadly, but this 1.8 Ghz CPU went to 2.57 on stock Vcore :D DFI NF3 MB and PC 4400 Ram I believe 298 Bus
I eagerly await their arrival si I can put it in a Abit NF8 and see what we can achieve with some nice ram

actually mobile sempron is already 90nm . There is another one which is 130nm.
The acer notebook i bought should be using either 130 or 90nm cpu.

I hope they will enable 64-bitness at the time of the Windows XP x64 launch.

Nope, Semprons can NEVER be 64 Bits Until AMD revises the Core and includes it :(

So then they lose ground against the new 64-bit Celeron with 512kB L2 cache (same as Wilamette and Northwood P4s). I don't think AMD will survive that Sempron32 strategy. I personally would rather buy slower 64-bit Celeron than faster 32-bit Sempron. I hope they will come out with something like Sempron64 (Athlon64 with cut L2 cache/slower HyperTransport).

I would rather get the Athlon 64 2800 or 3000. Either AMD gives them 64 Bits or makes them a lot cheaper...Note there may be a 3300+ Sempron coming any day now :( Seems a tad silly.

I think the AMD CPUs are quite affordable.

There is also possibility, that Athlon64 for socket 754 will be renamed to Sempron (as Q3'05 is s754 A64's last production quarter). I hope they consider this alternative.
